High Availability Fast Recovery (HAFR) can rapidly re-synchronize data between a primary iSCSI LUN and a secondary iSCSI LUN. HA synchronously modify data between a primary iSCSI LUN and a secondary iSCSI LUN. When networks and iSCSI storage have some problems to destroy the synchronization between these iSCSI LUNs, the HA work fails. AcroRed developed HAFR to reduce asynchronous time between these iSCSI LUNs. Therefore, AcroRed HAFR can work anytime and recover any size of data modified in asynchronous time. EMC had a similar function for EMC’s HA but the modified data size in asynchronous time depended on the memory of EMC storage.
