Remote Replication (RR) offers asynchronous remote backup service that will asynchronously and frequently copy incremental data from iSCSI LUNs to remote iSCSI LUNs across networks. It will avoid data loss from some serious disasters, such as earthquake, flood, fire or wars. In order to reduce bandwidth requirements in long distance data transmission, RR only copies the differential data modified from the last backup. Users can also configure a better replication schedule in an off-peak time to get the efficient bandwidth utilization. Moreover, with Active-Active mode, an iSCSI cloud storage can provide active LUN and backup LUN simultaneously which will increase resource utilization and reduce deployment costs.
